What is Salvation? Too often theologians make the salvation process far to complicated. You don’t have to get a running start, fix yourself up, or make yourself presentable. With Jesus, it is a come as you are party. Forget about comparing yourself as better or worse than others. Romans 3:23 says, “For all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God.” Because of the fall of Adam and Eve in the garden, we are all born into sin and separated from God. Jesus gives the remedy to Nicodemus in John 3:3, “ Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Jesus shed His blood at Calvary, so that everyone has the opportunity to be forgiven and born again. This rebirth is spiritual, and has nothing to do with age. All that’s needed is humility, and faith. Repeat this prayer from your heart: Father, I know that I am a sinner. I am sorry for my sins, and I believe Jesus died on the cross for my sins, and on the third day, you raised Him up to everlasting life. Jesus, I ask you to be my savior and Lord. Take my life into You’re hands, and through the Holy Spirit, lead and guide me to fulfill the destiny that You planned for me from the foundation of the world. Thank You. I love You. Find a good church to be trained, encouraged, and matured in the things of God. |
